Tech giant Oracle gave a glimpse May 13 of its plans to build a new pedestrian bridge in Nashville over the Cumberland River connecting Germantown and the East Bank, the future site of the company’s new global headquarters.
The company released four new renderings of the pedestrian bridge, which complement three other sketches of the bridge, the future layout of the technology campus and the riverfront walkways. Oracle senior vice president Scott Twaddle said the bridge’s goal is to connect Nashville to the company’s roughly $1 billion campus, which will include a Nobu hotel and restaurant, among other new developments.
“Oracle’s investment in the pedestrian bridge will create a public asset that will be an important part of connecting the campus to the surrounding community,” Twaddle said in a news release. “The design is thoughtfully integrated and reflects the vibrant character and history of the area and we look forward to moving forward with the next project…
