Tech giant Oracle is expected to lay off thousands of employees as the company, formerly headquartered in Silicon Valley, tries to manage its falling stock price tied to artificial intelligence commitments CNBC.
The extent of the layoffs was not disclosed by Oracle, but people posted online about their layoffs, many of whom were in software development and cybersecurity positions. Elsewhere on Reddit last week, there were discussions in a so-called Oracle employee group about job cuts in Canada, India and the United States.
Employees received notifications for the first time on March 31st that the company intended to fire her, according to a Submission to Washington’s Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN).
