oracle (ORCL) is expected to report its quarterly results after the bell on Wednesday. Wall Street is watching the cloud company’s results closely for signs of cracks in the AI bubble.
The fast-growing AI company is expected to report earnings per share of $1.64 in the fiscal second quarter, up from $1.47 a year earlier, according to consensus estimates from analysts tracked by Bloomberg. Oracle is expected to report revenue of $16.21 billion for the period, up 15% from the year-ago quarter.
And the tech company’s heavily watched AI segment, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), is expected to post a 68% increase in revenue to nearly $4.1 billion.
According to a Bloomberg index of major technology stocks, Oracle shares have slumped 33% from a high of $328 in September, while the Magnificent Seven as a whole have gained more than 11%.
