Oracle Layoffs: Technology giant Oracle announced on Monday one of the largest job cuts in years.

The company laid off an estimated 20,000 to 30,000 employees worldwide. The decision was announced via email early this morning. The cuts extended to the United States, India, Canada and Latin America.

Among those affected was Nina Lewis, an experienced security expert who had worked at Oracle for over 33 years. “After more than 30 years at Oracle, today I join the approximately 30,000 people laid off,” she wrote on LinkedIn. She called the move a shock. Follow live updates

Lewis joined Oracle in the early 1990s. She worked in database and security platforms for over three decades.
