Shares of companies related to artificial intelligence infrastructure slumped in early trading on Tuesday after reports that OpenAI fell short of internal growth expectations, raising new questions about whether the pace of spending across the sector is sustainable.

oracle fell about 7.5% in premarket trading on Tuesday. Oracle has a five-year, $300 billion partnership to provide OpenAI computing power for AI operations.

Chip manufacturers including Nvidia, Broadcom And Advanced micro devices fell between about 2% and 5%.

Qualcomm decreased by 3.5%. The stock experienced a slight upswing on Monday It reportedly works with OpenAI on smartphone chips tied to the company’s hardware ambitions. Leveraged Neocloud stock CoreWeave decreased by 7%.

In Asia, SoftBank Groupone of OpenAI’s largest investors, fell about 10%.
