Exposure remains frequent. The Australian Seniors report found 84% of respondents have encountered or been a victim of a scam, while 63% believe they have been targeted in the last 12 months. Of those contacted, 53% said they received suspected fraud contacts at least weekly. Phone calls were the most common method at 73%, followed by emails at 70% and text messages at 59%. AusPost-related parcel delivery fraud was reported by 47%, overdue payment fraud by 40%, phishing or identity fraud fraud by 36% and ATO or MyGov fraud by 34%.
