When I bought my RTX 4070 Ti back in 2023, I didn’t know that I was going to be upgrading my GPU multiple times over the coming years, without ever buying a new piece of silicon. Between newer DLSS models, Nvidia’s Smooth Motion, and the endless tinkering I’ve done with DLSS 5, my GPU has been surprising me this far into its life.

I’ve spent the better part of this year discovering just how much more performance and visual fidelity I can squeeze out of hardware that Nvidia would much rather have me replace. This GPU’s biggest selling point was 2x frame generation, and I was particularly proud of it, too. That changed after the RTX 50 series came out with Multi-Frame Generation (MFG) going up to 6x frame generation.

This was the only feature left for me to use on my GPU, and instead of waiting for Nvidia to finally add support for MFG to older RTX 40 series GPUs, I just went ahead and got it.
