Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) ended a five-session winning run Wednesday, slipping roughly 1.5% to $225.36 as the stock pulled back following its recent advance.
The decline came after Nvidia had climbed across the five previous trading sessions, with the shares rising from $212.17 on Sept. 15 to $227.38 on Sept. 21. The stock reached $228.50 during Monday’s session before retreating.
Trading attention also remained on insider activity. Nvidia director Mark Stevens sold 1.366 million shares on Sept. 18 for about $300.15 million, according to a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. He retained control of more than 27.5 million shares following the transaction.
Despite Wednesday’s decline, Nvidia remained above its Sept. 15 closing level, leaving the shares about 6.2% higher over that period. The stock also remained below its $236.54 record intraday high reached May 14.
