Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) plans to invest $3 billion in Meta Platforms’ (NASDAQ:META) equity offering as the companies extend their work on the Muse assistant and related artificial intelligence models.
The expanded effort will focus on refining model training and inference, the processes used to develop AI systems and generate answers. The companies aim to increase performance while improving the cost and efficiency of running these workloads.
Meta is also increasing its use of Nvidia’s Vera Rubin systems and Vera CPUs, alongside Spectrum-X Ethernet networking and BlueField-4 technology. These components are intended to support larger AI workloads as Meta scales its consumer and business agent products.
The companies may also explore Nvidia’s OpenShell reference architecture, which is designed to help organizations deploy AI agents with security controls and monitor their activity through Sentry software.
The partnership extends beyond infrastructure as Meta works to improve the capabilities of its Muse models, which power agent features that can carry out multi-step tasks. For Nvidia, the arrangement combines an equity investment with continued business across a major AI customer.
