Editor’s note: Nvidia India provided access to the Ultimate tier of its cloud gaming service, GeForce Now, to IGN India as part of a closed beta test.
Nvidia GeForce Now has finally launched in India in early access, which means that it is currently available to a limited set of users. Ahead of this limited launch, we had the opportunity to experience and test the cloud gaming subscription service for about a week. Since our team is spread across different parts of India, we had the opportunity to test the service across cities and ISPs on a range of devices. This is especially important as the servers are currently located in Mumbai. So the different cities offered as close to a real-world scenario as possible to test latency and the overall gaming experience.

As a long-time GeForce Now paying subscriber with a “Founders” account, I have been waiting of the service’s return for about 5 years. Over the years, I have tested the service on different servers to see the state of things stand. I even went as far as trying to register for a GeForce Now account on Taiwan Mobile to see if there was a way to legally pay (slightly less than my U.S. account).
