NVIDIA is finally launching its G-Sync Pulsar monitors based on Mediatek’s scalar, offering over 1000Hz of motion clarity with VRR at $599.
It’s been two years since NVIDIA announced its G-Sync Pulsar monitor technology, which aimed to further optimize VRR gaming and motion clarity. The same year it was announced, NVIDIA unveiled MediaTek as its main partner, which was designing a custom scalar for G-Sync Pulsar monitors, which would help bring down the costs of these monitors. These announcements were made in 2024, but since then, NVIDIA and its partners haven’t launched a single design despite showing off several products (on paper).
The Pulsar technology optimizes VRR gaming monitors with 4x the motion clarity, leading to stutter-free gaming and buttery smooth motion.
Well, this year at CES, NVIDIA is finally giving an update on G-Sync Pulsar, and the first monitors are ready to hit retail shelves this week on the 7th of January. There are four G-Sync Pulsar monitors that are going to launch this week, and these include:
- MSI MPG 272QRF X36
- ASUS ROG STRIX Pulsar XG27AQNGV
- AOC AGON PRO AG276QSG2
- ACER Predator XB273U F5
