NVIDIA have unveiled as part of their CES press event that 4 new G-sync Pulsar monitors will be finally releasing very soon, apparently as early as 7th January in fact! There’s new models from Acer, AOC, Asus and MSI, several of which we expect to see on show this week during CES. Acer, Asus and MSI should be demonstrating their models, while AOC aren’t actually at CES. NVIDIA said in their press event that these will be released from 7th January at a starting price of $599 USD. Specifics for each model are not disclosed at this time but we’d expect to see more from each vendor during the week.

G-sync Pulsar allows you to use a strobe blur reduction backlight mode (like NVIDIA’s ULMB2) at the same time as variable refresh rates, with these monitors being aimed at esports gamers. NVIDIA say that the screens can deliver 1000Hz+ perceived motion clarity with VRR. For more information about how G-sync Pulsar works, see our previous post here. We will provide more up to date technical information during CES this week once we’ve had chance to see the monitors in action.
