NVIDIA has pulled its most powerful desktop AI system out of Linux-only territory. On October 7, 2026, the company announced DGX Station for Windows, a deskside workstation built around the GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip that packs up to 748GB of coherent memory and 20 petaFLOPs of FP4 AI compute into a machine running Microsoft’s operating system instead of Ubuntu. Wccftech was first to frame the shift bluntly, reporting that NVIDIA’s “AI-powerhouse” DGX Station is “breaking out of Linux” and landing on Windows desks before the end of the year.
