Iambic Therapeutics (IAM), a life sciences company backed by Nvidia NVDA and AbbVie ABBV, among others, on Thursday detailed its plans to go public at a valuation exceeding $800M through a Nasdaq listing.
In a regulatory filing, Iambic (IAM), which leverages artificial intelligence to develop new medicines, announced its intention to sell roughly 9.4M shares of its common stock at $15.00 – $17.00 on the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the ticker symbol “IAM.”
The San Diego-based company is expected to raise as much as $159.4M at the top end of the range. Assuming that the underwriters fully exercise the 30-day option to buy ~1.4M shares additionally, the company projects ~48.8M shares to be outstanding immediately after the offering, which gives it a valuation of $829.7 at the top end of the proposed range.
At the midpoint, the company plans to raise roughly $135M in net proceeds, which it intends to use, among other purposes, to advance its lead asset IAM1363. The oral therapy, which is currently undergoing a Phase 1/1b clinical trial in patients with advanced HER2-altered solid tumors, is expected to enter a registrational trial next year, subject to regulatory feedback.
Since its inception in 2019, the company has raised approximately $461.8M from technology- and healthcare-focused investors, including Nvidia NVDA. In September, Iambic (IAM) and AbbVie
