Nvidia and Palantir announced on Thursday that they will incorporate an artificial intelligence model into the control of their critical supply chains, giving the automated system decision-making power.
“Nvidia has arguably the most valuable, intricate, and complex supply chain in the world. Our sovereign stack, powered by Nemotron models and Ontology, is delivering capabilities that exceed the frontier while providing alpha protection qualities unavailable otherwise,” said Alex Karp, cofounder and CEO of Palantir Technologies.
The deployment, according to the companies, will allow for “unprecedented supply chain visibility, identify constraints, continuously codify operational expertise and guide decisions at machine speed.”
The system will be first implemented in Nvidia’s supply chain, which spans millions of parts, thousands of suppliers, and a global network of manufacturing partners, with the objective of unifying every team worldwide into one operating system that improves their efficiency.
