At México IA+ 2026 in Mexico City, NVIDIA AI Day joined industry leaders to outline Mexico’s roadmap toward becoming a regional AI hub. Industry executives emphasized that scaling AI beyond initial enterprise pilots requires rapid upgrades to data center power density, liquid cooling architectures, energy sustainability, and domestic sovereign infrastructure capable of supporting advanced high-performance computing workloads.
On Nov. 4–5, 2026, Expo Santa Fe hosted the second edition of México IA+, featuring the debut co-location of NVIDIA AI Day. The gathering brought together government officials, enterprise executives, infrastructure operators, and institutional investors to confront an essential strategic shift: positioning Mexico not merely as a consumer of AI applications, but as the foundational computational and operational center for Latin America.
Marcio Aguiar, Director for Latin America, NVIDIA, opened the official program, framing an agenda centered on high-performance computing, generative models, industrial robotics, and sovereign infrastructure.
Throughout the event, technology leaders addressed a fundamental operational reality: while algorithms define corporate strategy, execution depends entirely on physical assets, including continuous power capacity, specialized cooling, and facilities engineered for high-density compute.
