Cloud data management firm Nutanix has made three key appointments in the EMEA region.

Firstly, Chris De Vere has been appointed as its new EMEA managed service provider leader. He will lead Nutanix’s team of MSP sales and business development managers – some of whom are already with the company and will move into his team, while others will be recruited as part of approved headcount investments for FY25.

The appointment is part of Nutanix’s consolidation of its MSP sales efforts and resources in EMEA, following its channel re-organisation in the region.

De Vere joined Nutanix recently after a 13-year spell at VMware. In his final role there, he was responsible for VMware’s MSP SaaS business across EMEA. Prior to VMware, he spent 11 years at IBM.

Secondly, Philippe Dosset has been appointed to lead the EMEA OEM and alliances team at Nutanix. In his new role he will be responsible for driving new business opportunities through alliances and OEM partnerships.

He joined Nutanix last year as channel director for France, EMEA South and North West Africa. Prior to joining Nutanix, he spent most of his career at Dell, holding various executive roles in sales and partner management covering EMEA, enterprise customers, GSIs and partners.

Thirdly, Sven Schoenaerts has been appointed as the new senior director, channel sales, EMEA. He will be responsible for Nutanix’s routes to market. All EMEA regional channel sales leaders will report to Schoenaerts.

“Partners have been a cornerstone of the success of Nutanix, and will play an even more important role in helping customers achieve the benefits of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures,” said Schoenaerts. “I also look forward to building on my extensive work with service providers and hyperscalers, as those routes-to-market take a more important role in Nutanix’s future.”

He joined Nutanix as NEEUR channel sales director in January 2022, following a long career in various channel, sales and management roles at companies including Amazon Web Services, NetApp, and Brocade Communications.
