Former Xbox Chief Operating Officer Helen Chiang has rejected claims that her departure from Microsoft was linked to a policy violation, saying the speculation surrounding her exit has misrepresented her conduct and professional record.
In a LinkedIn post titled Clarity is Kindness, Chiang addressed the circumstances surrounding her sudden departure, stating that reports describing her exit as a termination over a policy breach were inaccurate. She said the silence following her departure should not be viewed as acceptance of the allegations.
“That’s not accurate and while I won’t turn this into a play-by-play, silence should not be mistaken for agreement,” Chiang wrote.
Her statement comes amid reports that she was removed from her position over unspecified policy violations. The circumstances surrounding the alleged violations have not been publicly detailed by Microsoft.
