New Update for Microsoft Flight Simulator: Sim Update 15 Released by FSElite

The long-awaited Sim Update 15 for Microsoft Flight Simulator (v1.37.18.0) is now available for download by the general public. This update, which follows a lengthy beta process and some delays, brings significant improvements in performance like FPS and memory usage, enhancements to included aircraft, and the launch of the Airbus A320NEO v2 developed by iniBuilds.

The Airbus A320NEO v2 is a new addition to the simulator and does not replace the original aircraft. It offers a more feature-packed experience with advanced systems, improved realism, an onboard EFB, and more. While the original Asobo aircraft is great for beginners, the A320NEO v2 caters to users looking for a more in-depth flying experience.

Sim Update 15 comes with an extensive changelog, featuring fixes to launch airports, support for twin-engine helicopters, improved use of FlightAware data, and the inclusion of touch controls/gyros for Xbox Cloud Gaming users. It is recommended to rename or clear your community folder before updating to avoid any stability issues or long loading times.

This update will be the last major one for Microsoft Flight Simulator this year, with the focus shifting towards Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. However, Sim Update 16 is expected to be released in early 2025, along with continued world updates for the current simulator in the meantime.
