As companies move from experimenting with AI to full-scale production, the demand for mission-critical security and absolute data availability has become the most important measure of company success.
In the age of autonomous agents and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, the underlying data infrastructure must provide inherent resilience to the system and not be bolted onto the system as an afterthought. This demand is driving a major paradigm shift away from decades-old enterprise security protocols, they say Ashish Ray (pictured)Senior Vice President of Product Management at Oracle Corp.
“If you look at how agent AI is coming into the enterprise, it’s autonomous tasks that can’t handle any bottlenecks at all, otherwise you’ll end up with latency and transactions,” Ray said. “There is also the issue of cybersecurity threats, which means immunity needs to be built [into] the database – it can’t be built in the area.”
