TL;DR: Project Zenith is a streamlined Windows 11 build for AI developers targeting devices with ≥64GB unified memory and 250+ GB/s bandwidth; Ryzen AI Halo systems will ship with it preinstalled (VS Code, WSL, GitHub Copilot CLI, Python 3.14+, etc.). It supports 30B+ models, adds agent security (MXC, OS identity), and reduces distractions.

Microsoft has announced Project Zenith, which is a stripped-down version of Windows 11 for AI developers. It’s built for devices with at least 64GB of unified memory and 250+ GB/s memory bandwidth, with the goal, as Microsoft puts it, of delivering a “ready-to-code distraction-free Windows experience” on “developer-class” devices.
