A confirmed bug in Microsoft Teams desktop client version 26072.519.4556.7438 is disabling the right-click paste option for users on Windows and macOS, with Microsoft attributing the root cause to a code regression introduced in a recent Microsoft Edge browser update.
Users across organizations began reporting on April 14, 2026, that the Paste option in the Teams desktop client’s right-click context menu was greyed out, preventing them from pasting URLs, text snippets, and images copied from tools like Snipping Tool, Outlook, Word, and Microsoft Edge.
Keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+V and Cmd+V on Mac continue to function normally, and the Windows clipboard (accessible via Windows Key + V) also behaves as expected — isolating the issue exclusively to the right-click dropdown method.
