Microsoft is preparing to lay out its vision for the next era of personal computing at a gathering in San Francisco next month, where the company will showcase how on-device artificial intelligence is reshaping Windows and its Surface hardware lineup.
The event, scheduled for October 7 at 10 a.m. Pacific time, will bring together Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, Pavan Davuluri, who leads the Windows and Devices division, and NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. The three executives are expected to discuss what Microsoft describes as the “latest innovations across Windows, NVIDIA RTX Spark, Surface and the broader PC ecosystem.”
That speaker roster has fueled expectations that the RTX Spark platform will take center stage. NVIDIA unveiled the system-on-a-chip earlier this year as its first for Windows laptops, pairing 128GB of memory with an NVIDIA GPU and an Arm-based CPU to run high-performance AI workloads locally without relying on cloud servers.
