Microsoft donates to support holiday food assistance in West Des Moines

Microsoft is helping West Des Moines families by donating to the city’s Holiday Food Assistance Program this holiday season.The West Des Moines Human Services Holiday Food Assistance Program is providing food vouchers of up to $75 for over 500 registered, income-eligible households to help address food insecurity during December.The program is one of many initiatives supported by Polk County and the West Des Moines Human Services Friends Foundation, which raises essential funds to serve low-income households and strengthen critical Human Services programs.In addition, staff at Microsoft’s local datacenters recently hosted a successful food drive collecting over 1,200 pounds of food to benefit the West Des Moines Human Services Food Pantry.
