Microsoft data centers coming to Heath, Hebron after groundbreaking

The city of Heath and village of Hebron broke ground on new Microsoft data centers that both municipalities say will create economic benefits and mark the latest push from tech companies to get them online in central Ohio.

Hebron staff expect crews to start mass grading at the site within the next month and estimate construction will begin in late 2027. Hebron Economic and Community Development Director Brittany Misner said Microsoft is still assessing the build-out of the site, which encompasses more than 200 acres and could see up to six centers.

Crews will build the project off of High Street in Hebron, with an entrance from there and Canyon Road. The site in Heath will be off Thornwood Drive, according to a news release.

Other details of the project in Heath were not immediately available. Heath Mayor Mark Johns referred questions to Microsoft, which had not yet responded to questions about the project.
