Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella provides his optimistic outlook on the current state of XBOX. In the process, he praises XBOX CEO Asha Sharma for leading the brand in “streamlining” the process.
These comments come after the latest layoffs, which affected hundreds of XBOX staffers and major IPs such as Halo.
Microsoft CEO Says XBOX Needs a Sustainable Business Model
Satya Nadella was recently interviewed by Alex Heath on the Sources podcast. Towards the end of the interview, the focus shifted to the current state of the XBOX brand and its massive reset. Despite the major overhaul, Nadella praised the brand’s position, given the IP it owns and its studio portfolio. He went on to say that he thinks this “streamlining” Asha Sharma and the team are doing is “great to see.”
Still, he knows that they need to find a sustainable business model that will allow them to deliver gaming to more people.
