Microsoft Appears To Have Made A Small Revision To The Xbox Series X|S Controller

Amidst reports of a new Xbox Elite Controller and a new Xbox Cloud Gaming pad circulating recently, it looks as though Microsoft has made a small revision to the standard Xbox Series X|S controller – and it’s probably not what you’re expecting to see.

As spotted by an avid fan on Reddit, the new Forza Horizon 6 Limited Edition controller — which we covered last month on the site — is missing Microsoft’s legacy headset port; you know, the one that was needed for the launch era Xbox One headsets (you can see it next to the headphone jack above).

As you can see in the images down below, the port has been blocked off with Microsoft’s newest version of the Xbox Series X|S controller:

Now, we haven’t spotted this on any other Xbox controllers yet, but we’re assuming the change will apply to standard Series X|S pads too – at least ones that are being manufactured from this point forward. As we…
