McKinsey is asking graduates to “collaborate” with an artificial intelligence tool as part of its recruiting process, as mastery of the technology becomes a requirement in the competition for top jobs.
According to CaseBasix, a US company that helps candidates apply for jobs at leading strategic consulting firms, the blue-chip consulting firm is incorporating an “AI interview” into some exit interviews.
In an online post, CaseBasix said candidates in “select final rounds” in the US were asked to take tests using McKinsey’s internal AI tool Lilli. They should carry out practical consulting tasks with the help of Lilli.
“In the McKinsey AI interview, you will be expected to address the AI, review its results, and apply judgment to provide a clear and structured answer. The emphasis is on collaboration and reasoning rather than technical AI expertise,” CaseBasix said.
