Microsoft executives depart: Heading out the door in Redmond are Peter Lee, the Microsoft Science president and former head of Microsoft Research; and Ryan Roslansky, the former LinkedIn CEO who last year took on a broader role that included oversight of Microsoft Office.

  • Lee didn’t share his next role, but called it “a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to join an elite team, fulfilling a dream I’ve had since childhood.”
  • Roslansky said that continuing in his Microsoft role would have required relocating his family from the San Francisco Bay Area, which he wasn’t ready to do.

And in other Tech Moves: An Amazon general manager departs to become CTO of Scala; Flyhomes appoints three leaders; Heinz Marketing names a new COO/president; and other personnel changes.
