Long Island’s Andre Cisco gets do-over with Jets

Andre Cisco plans to make the most of his second chance with the Jets.

The Valley Stream product wasn’t sure he would get one after his first season was cut short by injury. Cisco only signed a one-year deal in 2025, so he believed he would be playing safety for another team this season.

When Jets head coach Aaron Glenn told Cisco he wanted to bring him back, the sixth-year pro jumped at the chance to return — on another one-year contract. Cisco felt he had unfinished business with the team that he was a fan of growing up on Long Island.

“That’s actually one of the first words that came to mind, because coming into the situation, I had really high hopes,” Cisco told Newsday. “I always was optimistic, even after signing a one-year deal, that I had an opportunity to stay here — if I handle business the right way. Didn’t handle business the right way, so I wasn’t sure that I’d have an opportunity.
