LG Electronics has been named a preferred partner in Nvidia’s official partner network for AI data center cooling, deepening ties with the US chip giant as the Korean company steps up its push into the fast-growing AI infrastructure market.
LG said Sunday that it has joined the Nvidia partner network, or NPN, as a preferred partner in the power and cooling category.
NPN is Nvidia’s global partner program encompassing hardware, software, services and infrastructure across its AI computing ecosystem. Its power and cooling partners provide systems needed to support high-density AI data centers, including cooling and power distribution equipment.
The new status is expected to expand LG’s access to global customers building Nvidia-based AI infrastructure and create more opportunities for its cooling systems to be considered from the planning and design stages of new data centers. LG’s offerings include chillers and coolant distribution units, or CDUs.
The NPN listing follows a series of product validations that have strengthened cooperation between LG and Nvidia in data center cooling.
In July, LG became the first Korean company to secure Nvidia validation for a 600-kilowatt CDU after the system met more than 100 technical requirements. Its 1-megawatt CDU subsequently completed Nvidia qualification as well.
