In an interview with Timethe actor discussed why true art must be anchored by people

When Leonardo DiCaprio talks about the future of film, he has doubts about AI. When speaking with TIME Receiving her Entertainer of the Year award, the actor acknowledged AI’s ability to aid filmmaking but said true art is anchored in humanity.

“It could be a tool for a young filmmaker to do something we’ve never seen before,” he told the publication. “I think anything that is to be considered authentically art has to come from a human being.”
