Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt re-released a scathing AI-generated ad on Tuesday
In the viral video created by filmmaker Charlie Curran, flames engulf the Hollywood sign; a socialist militia patrols the streets; and California’s political leaders, including Gov. Gavin Newsom, Mayor Karen Bass and former Vice President Kamala Harris, are portrayed as a royal bourgeoisie who care little about the plight of their subjects.
Then a hero shows up to save the day. It’s Pratt, or at least a vigilante Batman-esque version of him.
The republication comes a day before Pratt was scheduled to face his opponents in the mayoral race — incumbent Karen Bass and City Council member Nithya Raman — in a debate.
For weeks, Pratt, a former reality TV star, has taken Bass and Raman to task over hot-button issues like wildfire suppression, homelessness and public safety.
