MCADOO — Kline Twp. supervisors unanimously approved an Amazon data center campus that’s been months in the making at their meeting Wednesday at McAdoo Kelayres Elementary/Middle School.
The vote comes after the township’s planning commission gave the greenlight to Amazon at its meeting on Monday night with conditions placed on the project located near Interstate 81 and Route 309.
Township residents weren’t shy in expressing their disappointment with the decision.
“Now fix the zoning,” said Tina Romanowski after vote. “Amazon is not the only person who is going to come into this township. There’s a lot more property available. Protect the residents. You didn’t do it right the first time, let’s do it the second time.”
