Having trouble accessing your emails this Monday morning? You’re not alone.
Microsoft Outlook users started experiencing outages as early as 4 a.m. ET on Monday, April 27, according to the online tracker Downdetector. While reports of disrupted service were still flowing to the tune of 1,350 as of 12:45 p.m. ET, peaks occurred at around 10 and 11:00 a.m., during which 1,480 and 1,516 users documented issues, respectively.
Microsoft confirmed the outages in a statement on its X account around 6:20 a.m. ET, saying it was “investigating an issue where users may be experiencing intermittent issues accessing http://Outlook.com.”
In the last update issued on the social media site at 9:37 a.m., Microsoft said it had “identified an unexpected increase in error rates affecting two separate error scenarios.”
“We suspect this may be contributing to creating impact, and we’re conducting additional analysis to confirm this,” the company added.
