Ion Video Ltd (ASX:IOV) has detailed a major strategic realignment in its half-year CEO report, repositioning the company as the infrastructure that makes video programmable for artificial intelligence.
Over the past seven months, ION Video has rebranded itself from Linius and moved away from custom software projects to a pure intellectual property and licensing model based on its core video virtualization patents. Management said a comprehensive review found the company “did not have a feature or a product. It did not have an architecture for how video could exist in intelligent systems.”
The group has rebuilt its leadership, engineering and marketing teams and is now targeting hyperscalers, AI platforms and chip providers rather than end users.
