Indiana FFA Chapter Receives Massive Donation Tied to Google Data Center Land

What began as an unexpected phone call from Google has now become one of the largest investments ever made into a local FFA chapter — a $200,000 donation to the Monrovia AgriScience and FFA Program in Indiana that school leaders say could transform opportunities for students for years to come.

The recent donation is tied directly to the land where Google’s future data center will be built in central Indian. Before construction began, soybeans were farmed on the property. After the crop was harvested and sold, Google donated the proceeds connected to that harvest.

“Google reached out to us once the data center was approved about the donation,” Monrovia FFA Advisor Tori McCreary told AGDAILY. “The donation was from the profit off the field once it was harvested. We never expected this, and we can’t wait to see the impact it is going to have on students!”

The school plans to use the money to create two new course pathways that were chosen based on demand from the student body.
