Throughout 2025, we saw an unprecedented surge in interest in artificial intelligence (AI). There was rapid adoption of AI across businesses, huge investment in AI infrastructure and AI-focused ASX shares skyrocketed as a result.
While some concerns about an AI bubble and overvalued stocks have dampened ASX AI and technology stocks in recent months, the annual gains are still significant.
Heading into 2026, it looks like interest in AI will continue to grow.

Weebit Nano Ltd (ASX: WBT) is developing and licensing a new memory technology (Resistive Random-Access Memory or ReRAM) that is intended to replace traditional flash memory.
It’s faster, uses less power and is more reliable. While not primarily an AI stock, it enables AI capability as it uses this new storage technology to run AI workloads.
