I tried Google’s new Lab tool, and it’s everything I wanted NotebookLM to be

NotebookLM didn’t exist when I was studying at a university. Learning would have been interesting with it back then, but I reckon it would have made me lazy, too.

My partner, who recently learned about NotebookLM, and I were contemplating this a couple of weeks ago. We agreed that its impact on us, as university students, would have been mixed.

I’ll admit that the thought dampened my excitement about NotebookLM. However, it didn’t take too long to realize where NotebookLM goes wrong and why it’s not a complete win.

It was all thanks to a new Google Lab tool that I recently tried. The new Google Lab tool made me look at NotebookLM differently, as it spelled out everything NotebookLM doesn’t get right.

After spending a few days with the Google Lab’s Learn Your Way, I realized that I wanted NotebookLM to be exactly like this. Here is why.
