HPE Stock Tumbles on Q4 Miss and Soft FY26 Revenue Outlook

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (New York Stock Exchange: HPE) fell on 9% Friday after the company posted mixed fiscal fourth-quarter results and issued guidance that fell short of several market forecasts.

Income for the room ended October 31 amounted to $9.7 billion, lower than analyst estimates at $235.7 million, but higher than $8.4 billion a year earlier. The gain was driven by strong growth in networks, while other segments showed softer trends.

HPE reported an operating loss of $8 million, compared with a profit in the same period a year earlier. Free cash flow hit $1.9 billion, an improvement over last year, while cash generated from operations rose to $2.47 billion.

Segment performance varied. Server revenue fell to $4.5 billion, while networking rose to $2.8 billion, reflecting higher demand after recent acquisitions. Hybrid cloud sales decreased to $1.4 billion and financial services were flat.
