Dell reported first-quarter results that beat analysts’ expectations by a wide margin and raised its full-year forecast, driven by red-hot demand for its AI-optimized servers.

  • Hewlett-Packard and Super Micro are Dell’s main competitors in servers, storage, networking and enterprise infrastructure.
  • Dell sells ServiceNow tools included with its products.
  • Stocktwits sentiment for HPE, SMCI and NOW rose on Friday.

Shares of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Super Micro and ServiceNow rallied in early premarket trading Friday in a surge of sympathy after a spectacular report from Dell Technologies.

HPE gained a whopping 21%, while NOW rose more than 6%, sparking great interest among retail traders on Stocktwits. SMCI won more than 11%.

Hewlett-Packard and Super Micro are Dell’s main competitors in servers, storage, networking and enterprise infrastructure, and they target many of the same customer groups.
