During the RSAC 2026 Conference in San Francisco, we spoke with no less than three HPE representatives. More specifically, all three work for HPE Networking. The reason for its presence is simple: HPE views the network as a security solution and a security enforcement point. With the recent acquisition of Juniper Networks, that sentiment has become even stronger. What is HPE Networking’s security strategy? How much do you want to contribute to your own platform? And what do the newly created HPE Threat Labs contribute?
The network has always been an important layer for applying security controls. After all, it is able to “see” much of what happens within an organization. Virtually everything is connected to a network in some way, shape, or form. This means that there will be network traffic. And where there is network traffic, this traffic can be monitored for packets that organizations don’t want there.
