HPE Cray GX5000 Supercomputing
HOUSTON, Texas – November 13, 2025 – HPE today announced additions to its more compute-dense supercomputing portfolio.[1]three multi-partner, multi-workload compute blades, unified management software, and high-performance interconnect support for converged AI and HPC workloads.
HPE said the expanded portfolio follows last month’s announcement of the HPE Cray Supercomputing GX5000. The platform is enhanced by the new HPE Cray Supercomputing Storage Systems K3000, with integrated distributed asynchronous storage (DAOS) open source software.[2].
The company said that the Center for High Performance Computing at the University of Stuttgart (HLRS) and the Leibniz Supercomputing Center (LRZ) of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities have selected the HPE Cray Supercomputing GX5000, the next pastor HLRS supercomputer and blue lion LRZ supercomputer.
