Network security has perhaps never been more vital than in 2026. With the convergence of networking and security, along with the influence of AI appearing to grow by the day, the complexity and volume of cyber threats is increasing at a rapid pace.
The traditional architecture of networks is being rethought. The interconnection of millions of devices around the world contributes to the complex and nuanced challenges facing the networking industry. Where AI comes into play is in the scale and efficiency of threats. The sheer volume of bad actors, as well as the number of devices on a given network, means that human intervention alone cannot meet the demands of modern networks.
This presents a significant challenge for IT teams: they must now not only be agile and dexterous in their response to today’s AI-driven threats, but also proactive in adapting to the changing dangers of the near future.
