Tim Roller says he’s spent so long camped out on the same stretch of East Hollywood street that Google’s cameras have made him famous.
The homeless former math teacher made the extraordinary claim that he’s lived near a cul-de-sac off the Hollywood Freeway for nearly two decades.
Every few years, a Google Street View car passes by, capturing another snapshot of the setup Roller says is his.

A review of Google’s Street View feature shows a makeshift shelter, a tent, or Roller himself stretched beneath a blanket — going all the way back to 2009.
“I’ve been out here 19 years,” he told the California Post, describing life on the street as “a roller-coaster ride.”
The most difficult part about living outdoors is “the occasional rain and cold that comes around,” he said.
Everything else, he believes, can be learned.
