Australian home buyers are being warned about the increasing reliance on AI tools that can provide outdated data, unrealistic budgets and “stupid” advice when searching for properties.

Real estate experts have issued an urgent warning to home hunters who use artificial intelligence to guide their decisions. They’ve found that the technology can mislead buyers and cost them thousands.

Buyer’s Advocacy Director and MR Advocacy Director Madeleine Roberts said generic AI platforms were not designed for the real estate sector and were already causing concern.
