Grindr is not involved in politics at all. I don’t comment on politics, that’s been my politics since I’ve been here, so I won’t comment on that. Gays have very different views and I don’t think that should affect how I run a business. My job is to ensure users have a fun and sexy place to enjoy their life outside of politics. People come to Grindr not for political reasons, but for other reasons. Unless it is fundamentally related to our core business, we do not make political comments.
But users bring their politics to the platform. In July, there was a public outcry against the banning of users who posted the phrase “Not Zionists” on their profiles.
