Google Cloud on Oct. 8 officially unveiled Gemini Agent, a next-generation artificial intelligence (AI) agent designed to handle a broad range of tasks, from answering questions and executing workflows to creating content and writing code. The product is more specifically tailored to enterprise work than Gemini Spark, which Google announced at its I/O conference in May.
While Gemini Spark is designed to manage individuals’ digital lives, Gemini Agent is a general-purpose work agent built to handle tasks across the enterprise. Both can carry out multistep tasks on behalf of users, but differ in their target audiences, integration with existing systems and enterprise management capabilities.
