Google is furthering plans for its West Memphis data center, as city officials have announced that the tech giant has begun hiring for its location in Eastern Arkansas.
The announcement comes months after Google confirmed the construction of its data center in West Memphis in September 2025. Throughout last year, Google has contributed multiple large investments into the state, totaling over $14 billion.
Google is looking to hire roles within the mechanical, controls, and electrical departments, according to the announcement from the city.
