Google Pixel Watch update adds ‘left behind’ alerts and expands Satellite SOS

The latest feature drop brings Find Hub to the wrist and trickles down gestures to older hardware

Google’s March 2026 update for the Pixel Watch ecosystem has arrived, and it focuses heavily on bridging the gap between security and convenience.

The headline addition to the brand’s smartwatches is a new proactive phone-protection system, with devices like the Pixel Watch 4 now able to act as a kind of digital leash.

If a user walks away from their handset, the watch immediately issues a haptic alert and automatically locks their phone once they step out of Bluetooth range.

The update also introduces the Find Hub directly to the Wear OS interface. Previously, tracking down lost items required digging into the phone app, but users can now locate misplaced devices and personal items directly from their wrist (via Google’s Find My Device network).
